Qentra for Learning and Playing — letters, counting, reading, Arabic,
Quran, drawing and both school programmes, in French, Dutch, English, Arabic and Russian.
Made for a tablet a child holds, and for a parent who set it up once.
Open the downloaded file — Android calls it QLP.apk.
If it says installs from this source are blocked, tap Settings,
turn on Allow from this source, then press back and open the file
again.
Tap Install, then Open.
The whole app is inside the download — it works with no
connection from the first launch.
iPad or iPhone
There is no download on iPhone or iPad. Apple only allows an app from its own store,
so QLP installs straight from this page instead — the same app, its own
icon on the home screen, working offline.
You are not in Safari. Only
Safari can add an app to the home screen — open
qlp.quriou.com in Safari and come back to this step.
Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow, at the bottom of
Safari on iPhone, at the top on iPad.
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add.
Open QLP from the home screen. Leave it open for a minute the
first time — it is copying itself onto the device so it works offline.
Once it is on the home screen it opens full screen, with no
browser bar, exactly like an app from the store.
Computer
QLP runs here in full — same app, same lessons, same offline copy.
The Mac download is a real app with its own icon
in the Dock — not from the App Store. Because of that, the first time you open it
macOS will refuse. Right-click the app, choose Open, then Open again.
Only needed once.
Chrome and Edge can install it as a real window of its own.
In Safari on a Mac, use File → Add to Dock.
